Learning about stock markets is an ongoing process. One book alone will not do it all. You will need multiple books, websites and feeds using which you can keep track of day to day economics. I am suggesting a few resources below, mostly free and all trustworthy.
These are not my websites, neither am I affiliated with any of these in any way.
I will not suggest you books and names of big shots, like others have done, Intelligent investor, Stock market genius, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Warren Buffett, Jhunjhunwala, because you do not have the kind of money these people had. They play with millions of dollars...
You are a simple trader, with limited funds, like me.
Here is how you can get complete knowledge about stock markets.
Firstly, start following the news section of this website:
https://munafasutra.com/page/StockMarketNEWS
These are headlines from multiple sources, gives you a clear economic picture of what is going on. Includes global headlines too.
Next, use the "learning" section of that same website, to watch a couple of starters videos. You will learn about basics of stock markets, the mindset you need to have, common mistakes traders do and how to avoid them, basics of FNO and the like.
Many videos are there, watch them all.
Next, read about some indicators here:
https://school.stockcharts.com/doku.php?id=technical_indicators
This is a great place to learn about indicators used in stock markets. They have explained the theory in detail, and have also given examples in many cases.
If you can, then consider downloading "Munafa stock market training" book. I read this book in 2016, and even though I have been trading in stock markets for many many years before that, still I learned lots of tricks and methods from this book.
Its a very practical book, with step by step explanation of strategies you can follow.
Its written by a group of traders who trade in stock markets regularly.
Download it here: https://MunafaSutra.com/page/ebook
(not my affiliate link)
You can also learn basics about stock markets here,
https://zerodha.com/varsity/
This is a broker in India. They have detailed "theory" chapters, divided into modules for you to read and learn online.
Please, always remember, theory is different, practical is different.
For example, theory of options is saying:
"Selling options has limited profits and unlimited loss"
In theory, this is true. But if you will start trading in markets, then you will see that your broker automatically applies a "stoploss" to all your "sell option" trades. This means that your loss cannot go beyond a certain level.
So in practicality, this is not true.
Its practical things like these which separate novice traders from traders who make a living trading in stock markets...
Even after all this, if you still feel that you want to learn more, then I can suggest "Stock market course by ICICi Direct".
I attended this course in 2011-12, and I learned a lot from those teachers too.
A lot of what is taught in class is theory, but when you talk to people like those, people who have experience in markets, then you can really pick lots of trading tips.
Good luck!
